Bloomex Pty Ltd while claiming to be "Australia's Official Florist":
falsely represents itself to be a local florist in tens of hundreds of cities, towns & suburbs across Australia;
fabricates thousands of positive reviews about itself;
fabricates flower images so as to trick consumers;
delivers dead flowers via Australia Post.
Google Shopping sells this fraud, by promoting the florist locations that in fact do not exist, in return for $millions coming from consumer pockets (LEARN WHY). Bloomex annual revenue is $9.21 million USD (modelled). What does the ACCC do about it? NOTHING.... ASK ACCC YOURSELF what they are doing about it. You will get an acknowledgement like this.
The purpose of this website is to:
exhibit some of the huge amount of evidence online;
bring this fraud to the attention of Google Shopping;
in order to prepare for public interest litigation in the event of Google continuing to turn a blind eye.
LETTER OF COMPLAINT TO GOOGLE LEGAL - 08/12/2021
There has been no response to the Letter of Complaint. Initially Google removed FlowerFraud.com from the Google organic search results, but now it's back. Subsequent to a complaint by Bloomex, gutless Bing.com (Microsoft) removed FlowerFraud.com from its organic search results.
"Criminals are paying Google to build a database of targets for their high-yield scams."
"Google has been made aware that the sites are fake and almost certainly a scam. But it doesn’t appear to be in too much of a rush to shut them down."
"Worst of all, the scammers are paying Google – which is willingly accepting a fee to feed the website’s users to the wolves."
Section 18, Schedule 2, of Australian Consumer Law
Misleading or deceptive conduct;
(1) A person must not, in trade or commerce, engage in conduct that is misleading or deceptive or is likely to mislead or deceive.
While there are literally thousands of Bloomex bad reviews, there are a number glowing reviews for Bloomex across a wide range of review platforms. These glowing reviews create suspicion, and when you read this article from Safety Detectives, which spotlights how there is an industrial size scam for generating glowing 5 star FAKE reviews, the suspicion can only increase.
Not content with misrepresenting the existence of Bloomex Local Florist Shops, Google Shopping misrepresents the address of Bloomex Brisbane. It's NOT 23/1 Lathe Street (per Google Maps).
THE CORRECT ADDRESS 1/23 Lathe Street Virginia QLD 4014.
Return your flowers here, THAT'S IF YOU GET ANY!
OMG!!! - BLOOMEX amazingly calls itself "Australia's Official Florist"
ASIC SEARCH FOR BLOOMEX Pty Ltd
Google Shopping (GS) requires application to the Google Merchant Centre (GMC) in order to be able to sell on GS. Google actively prevents honest applicants from joining the GMC, by subsequent to an application falsely accusing them of misrepresentation and immediately suspending them. This can also extend to a Google Adwords account if the unfortunate applicant has one.
It is unknown of Google's motive for this, but perhaps it's to protect the interests of its big spender fraudulent clients from honest competition.
Google refuses to provide any reasons whatsoever for the misrepresentation allegation and suspension, and offers zero real person direct assistance to remedy the matter, thus causing confusion to the applicants.
Instead Google provides a GMC Forum along with a myriad of pages upon pages of bureaucratic confusing archives of policies, rules and regulations, coupled with appalling navigation, from which one can become even more confused, with unsuccessful trial & error rectification and having to wait up to 7 business days for a review by Google, which then only confirms the misrepresentation and suspension.
It is unknown if reviews are performed by robots or real persons.
In order to assist this debacle, Google engages so called "Volunteers" & "Product Experts" (such as in the above Google Ad Certificate for Moshe Avichai) into the GMC Forum, to assist what have become totally confused applicants that cannot work out why they have been accused of misrepresentation and suspended.
However, from the example provided in the columns below, the so called "volunteers" (while unconcerned about the Google collaboration in FRAUD pointed out to them), are in the business of paid consultation and offering "Suspended Packages" relief when in reality, the GMC Forum is just a place where the "Volunteers" can trawl for the victims of confusion, all with Google's blessing.
So when the unfortunate victims become so frustrated by the seemingly helpful advice provided by the "Volunteers", that doesn't result in a successful outcome, they resort to advancing from the trawling ground and paying for a "Package", which in fact does not guarantee a resolution.
